Bushfire and Hazard Mitigation Management Planning

Our Bushfire and Hazard Mitigation Management Planning includes but is not limited to:

  • Identifying legal & service requirements

  • Identifying all stakeholders

  • Identifying significant cultural & environmental concerns

  • Liaising with relevant Environmental Officers

  • Review previous management plans

  • Identifying stakeholder’s 'desired' outcomes

  • Identifying optimum burn conditions

  • Identifying Ignition types, tactics, critical issues, expected fire behaviours & crew movements

  • Expected durations of active burning

  • Expected durations of mop up works

  • Identifying number of crews required for active burning phase

  • Identifying number of crews required for black out/mop up phase

  • Identifying and/or managing any additional resources required

  • Boundary preparation

  • Fuel load scoring

Emergency Response & Strike Team

Our Emergency Response Team Standby and Relief services include permanent, temporary and strike team capabilities for:

  • Fire (urban and wildland)

  • Road Crash Rescue

  • Urban Search And Rescue

  • Land Search And Rescue

As a private enterprise, LRM Fire & Rescue have no geographical boundaries and is dynamic and responsive to any incident requiring lead or support resources at short notice.

Real Time Aerial Surveillance

LRM Fire & Rescue personnel are expected to work  in some of the most arduous, extreme and occupationally hazardouse environments for the purpose of performing fire and rescue operations with a view to protect and preserve life, property and the environment.

 

The safety of LRM Fire & Rescue personnel is paramount.

 

In a strategic move to offer an additional level of control to monitor and record fire ground and rescue operations, LRM has aligned with UAS Pacific to provide unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) support.

 

Additional applications identified for  the use of UAV’s include (but are certainly not limited to):

 

  • Aerial reconnaissance during and post man made or natural disasters

  • Real time surveillance of operational activities and borders

  • Search and rescue

  • Topographic and GIS mapping

  • Provision of real time footage in inaccessible or hazardous areas

  • Atmospheric monitoring

  • Aerial photography

  • Wildlife and feral animals surveillance and research

  • Environmental compliance

  • Bridge, pipeline, boundary perimeter and power-line inspections

  • Surveying

  • Bushfire mapping and damage assessments

  • Flood mapping and damage assessments

  • Earthquake damage assessments

  • Mobile aerial repeater for emergency communications

LRM Fire Team

The LRM Strike Team consists of highly trained and qualified ​members who are committed to providing an exceptional fire & rescue services to our clientele.

LRM are always on the lookout for self-motivated, eager and passionate personnel to join our Fire Team in the following roles:

  • Conservation & Land Management

  • Wildland Firefighters

  • Emergency Service Officers

  • Technical Officers

  • Paramedics

All team members undergo a selection process including fitness assessments, interviews, criminal history checks and strictly adhere to company and client's privacy and confidentiality policies.

To support local economies, LRM regularly engage local Rural Fire Brigades to compliment our capabilities and services.
